Sand Castles
On this lonely stretch of beach
I wrote your name in sand
where we strolled together
side by side hand in hand
Oh if I could only build
a sand castle to the sky
I'd climb my way to you
and no more would I cry
But no sooner do I build it
a wave comes rushing in
leaving just an empty spot
and me alone again
Sand castles just a memory
of two once so in love
now one stands alone
the other with God above
But I'll keep rebuilding
it keeps the hope alive
and lets each loving memory
of you and I survive
