Forever
Can I stay with you forever
came from his tiny lips
as I brushed away his tears
gently with my finger tips
Let me stay with you forever
I'll do what you ask me to
I promise to be a good boy
if you let me stay with you
I want to stay here forever
cause Nana this is my home
and I don't want to leave you
by yourself here all alone
I have to stay forever
cause I'm your little man
I'll take real good care of you
cause Nana you know I can
Tears streaming down my face
for love of this little boy
I wonder if he'll ever know
he's brought me so much joy
I didn't know what to say
forevers such a complex word
and right now, its one
I wish I'd never heard
I held him till he fell asleep
then prayed to God above
let my little man be happy
and forever filled with love
