The Change
You are always on my mind
and forever in my heart
when ever I get lonely
I reach in and take a part
A little piece of memory
stored with loving care
my own piece of Heaven
that I can hold or share
I see you when I close my eyes
sometimes I cannot sleep
I merely toss and turn
into my pillow and weep
A part of me is torn out
when I see you cry
your trying to be strong
each time you say goodbye
One day you'll understand
the change is best for you
when you cling so tightly
I don't know what to do
Sometimes I want to scream
but what would it change
you have a new way of life
that I can't re-arrange
Times will get better
though they seem unfair
but one day soon I promise
you'll be just as happy there.
