I slept in the cold light of the sun
by now everyone had gone
I looked around
no-one
soon I wouldn't know what I was looking for
how long have I been alone?
in my dreams I heard music
sweet melancholic melodies
but there was no music
sometimes I would hear voices
in the comforting hypnotic crackle
sometimes the sound would last all night
drip drip
I'm frightened and alone
my body aches but I can still see
silver shining in the glistening sun
I have no direction
I have no destiny
I could lose my soul right here
a lunatic chasing sounds
that may never appear
I have waited for you for so long
now I am freezing to death in your presence
they all froze
suddenly lonely
frozen tears in suspended animation
it was your voice I heard
your music
drip drip
won't somebody turn off that damn tap
