Disease
A "Warm-N-Cozy" Greeting
My daughter was recently diagnosed
with Meniere's Disease~~~~~~
This poem evolved from that diagnosis........
Disease
When children are small and skin their knees,
You dry their tears and with a little squeeze,
Easily ease their pain, and they wonder that
You know so much, Mom's are like that.
As they grow older, it's their hearts that break,
Wracking sobs foretell that romance's fate.
You soothe, you sympathize, you even help them cry
And they get better ~~~by and by.
Too soon for you, they have a family,
And it's your grand baby with a skinned-up knee,
Or a broken heart, or a love so true,
So you do those things you used to do.
Not a child anymore, yet she is ill
You want to dry those tears, take the pain she feels.
There is nothing in this world you would not do
If, instead of her, it could be you.
But God doesn't work that way, you see,
Each life has a chosen path to complete,
So we can only Praise Him in everything,
And with prayer and supplication, humbly bring
Your precious child to the Throne of God,
Saying, “In ALL THINGS, Thy Will Be Done”.
At the feet of Jesus here I lay, the love of my life,
Ease her pain, calm her strife.
Let her borrow my strength; should hers ever fail,
In all things I do, let me never fail
To worship You, To Praise Your Name.
Thank you for this LOVE, I will never be the same.
Should I have any stars in my crown with Thee,
Grant them unto her, for more worthy, is she,
Help her live each day to the greatest degree
Of joy and happiness, is my humble Plea.
