I wander through these empty rooms
where have the years all gone
time has left me standing here
in the silence all alone
Where's the hugs and kisses
scraped knees and broken hearts
I pull them from my memories
thats when my hurting starts
I close my eyes and think back
to a home filled with laughter
fairy tales were dreamed of
ending happily ever after
The last ones finally married
their all happy as can be
thats all I ever wanted
so whys it killing me?
Now emptiness surrounds me
the hurt cuts like a knife
its hard to let those go
you've raised all their life
I still can hear the laughter
see each smiling face
I know without a doubt
like me they found their place.
Its a never ending cycle
a part of life you know
so love them all you can
then smile and let them go.
