Murdoch Goes Fishing On His Birthday!
Murdoch stood, mesmerized
By the swirling turning fish.
He cast his line instantly
And with it made a little wish!
Murdoch waited patiently
By the river, rippling deep,
Hoping for a tiny bite
That would make his day so sweet!
Murdoch dreamed of fish and chips,
Salted freely, luscious hot.
As he shivered in the rain,
He gave his line a stronger shot!
Murdoch drifted into dream
And solved and sorted for a while.
Then he blinked back to his day
And glowed beneath the rainbow smile!
Murdoch watched and waited long,
Wishing for a simple bite,
Endlessly in mind rotate,
He circled in and out of quiet!
Murdoch gave a happy gasp
As he felt a tiny pull.
He had got his birthday wish,
He felt complete, his heart brimmed full!
Joy Weare.
