At first I equated Obedience-
To your word and Law
As a harsh parent pointing a finger
Yelling before I fall
As a conditional love
-"I must do before I fit in"
I did not like or understand
This word that you call sin
The problem was
I hadn’t known anyone like you
I only had imperfect humans
To relate anything to
Then I began seeking you
And asking you remove my hearts deception
In my love and obedience
I allowed in your loving Laws protection
