Only Walk Alone
Single just like my single soul,
bleeding enough to be my own.
All forgetting you leave this world thats cold
just the same as the way you've come,
Almost like you were really built to be alone.
Adapting before the world can start letting go,
this is what keeps me sane.
Seeming that they cannot accept the pain.
Once you've seen too much trust seeming to rust.
When you've had enough of what you cannot trust.
You can discover this world and all in its hold.
where only so very few will choose to walk alone.
With one step after another screaming to be your past.
Stepping in peace, and leaving all the weakness that didn't last.
Redefining my faith, by not standing in line.
First burning your way into my mind.
Stinging my eyes then forgetting the lies.
Speeding my words and my will.
Kill these chills they all consume me,
along with the ways you bleed right through me.
This strong body and mind, they're living alone.
Worth every breath that wasn't a dream.
Appearing that my skin is cold, watching it all falling unfold.
So soon, if even at my side I'll still be standing alone.
But keep what dream you have left to steal,
to hold and fill this life you live.
As you will leave each last breath you breathe.
Just remember me as I seem.
Once I'm gone for following my dreams.
Only walk alone.
