Time Always Heals

She loved him so she gave her heart

He took it then tore it apart.

He gave a promise, broke that too

Gave a love that wasn`t true.

He was weak, an old flame burned

So this new love he has spurned.

But his old love can`t be true

And one day will break him too.

For now she gathers up the parts

Of all her many broken hearts.

And only time will heal her pain

Make her heart a whole again.

Time will show that she will find

A love that`s true and not unkind.

She must believe although they`ve parted

Time always heals the broken hearted.
