 Dance of the Gypsy

An eerie silence filled the night
As Mara danced beneath the moon.
Seductive, dark-haired gypsy wench-
Her body and nature in tune.

Into the night comes a stranger
Stalking Mara's sensual dance.
With cat-like stealth, he's at her side-
The start of a steamy romance.

They spin and twirl, eyes locked tight.
He lifts her up high in his arms.
Mara melts in the dusky night-
Lips touch as he tastes of her charms.

The gypsy god and his goddess-
A beautiful sight to behold.
The nymphs and fairies all come out-
This night that the moon is so bold.

Into the eve, the dance goes on-
A smoldering fire now lit.
Electric music fills the air
As they move, molding hip to hip.

She casts the spell of her magic,
Hypnotizing him with her sway.
It is the dance of the gypsy-
And Mara his senses will slay.

The moon is watching from on high;
Much pleased with this enchanting sight,
But now the orb must take its leave-
And withdraw his magical light.

The stranger slips from Mara's arms
As the wings of passion take flight.
Weeping in despair; she calls out-
Mara's love has faded from sight.

But next full moon, he'll come again
And their passion, they'll re-ignite.
For Mara and her gypsy prince-
Ever dance in the full moonlight.
