Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god

Division

Now I know.
Cut that person
Away, today,
Watch as that
Person slides
Out of view.

On the ground,
With all the other
Scrap heap reminiscence.

Never knew there was a choice.
Never knew it wasn't mine.
Now I know.

Darkness trails
As eyesight fails.

I wish I could
Pay the bail,
Get them out of
That emotional confusion,
That teenage jail.

What would I know?
I'm sentimental baggage
Being held up by
A depressive silhouette.

Heal.
Now I know
A similar feel,
Like the Band-Aid
Being ripped
Off too fast,
Feeling the remorse of
Torn skin,
Broken heart,
Melted muscle.

Leaving desire
Up for hire,

Without a shoulder to cry on.
Without a hero to save the day,
Heartaching sadness gave way.

I wish I had a whisper of hope to cling to.
