...In Respect;...In Memory Of; …Anthony Walker… His smile could light a million eyes, And his goodness was there for all to see, And yet that very life was taken, And how it hurts the heart of me! Taken from a future he dreamt of, His life was snatched before it began, But his memory will be etched forever, In the heart of every woman, child and man! For he brought together a community, Who were heartbroken and tragically sad! To know the life of one so sweet, Was taken from this lovely lad! For these people know no colour of skin, No racial prejudice from them around, More, all were gathered in memory of Anthony, With flowers awash all over the ground! And out of negativity and heartbreak, Came the goodness found within… All these people paying respect, For the goodness of people he did win! And now his memory will never die, And the goodness that he brought, Can-not be begged, borrowed or stolen, Nor can that goodness be bought! For it is within the heart of the people, That Anthony brought together as one, And in doing so, he gave so much, For the hatred is banished; and so he won! So for everything bad that comes our way, Brings a positive that always turns to good, Look to the people, look to their heart, And see all that you can, all that you should. And when you think of Anthony, Remember the good he brought about, And make racial prejudice a thing of the past, And eke those evil thoughts and feelings out!
