M's Poetry

Hold On

Misty is so afraid
it's all too consuming
the brainwash has taken over her head
she can't hardly move without permission
and outings feel like a jailbreak
she wonders how long have I been here?
it's been so long....
have I always felt this way?
she can't remember the last time
that life was pleasant and actually enjoyable

Hold on I want to tell her
Hold on I pray that it will get better
Hold on to this piece of hope
Hold on like this is the moment
Hold on you never know how life will turn
Hold on like a miracle will come

Donnie paces nervously in the waiting room
hours ago they took back Sue
there has been complications with the birth
they all told him to patiently wait here
but it's the last thing he really wants to do
a thousand memories run through his brain
and it wants to hold the tears in
his face though shows the silent streams

Hold on I want to tell him
Hold on I pray that it will get better
Hold on to this piece of hope
Hold on like this is the moment
Hold on you never know how life will turn
Hold on like a miracle will come
