Give God a Fair Share

Malachi 3:7-12

Of the era of your father you turned away,
From the rules of God you had not abide;
Return to the Lord God and do not stray,
Open up your heart and get rid of pride.

The Lord your God will come back to you,
But wherein and how shall we come back?
Will a man withhold from God what is due,
In tithing that's not right or that we lack?

You are robbing God if not of your share,
No difference than if you are a tax cheat;
Merely a tenth is all that you need to bear,
From the fruit of your labor as complete.

The blessings are more remembering God,
Rewarded abundantly in all that you reap;
Give to the Lord as you honor and laud,
And investing wisely with that you keep.

Remember all belongs to God not our own,
We are only the caretakers here on earth;
Anything that we have is merely a loan,
God wants you to have what you are worth.
