 Enchanted Evening

Into the day, the night has come.
Sir moon will soon kick out the sun.
The children put to sleep their fun-
This day is done, this day is done.

The stars have now come out to play.
Their twinkle makes the Heavens gay.
They eavesdrop as young lovers  pray-
They light the way, they light the way.

The forest too has come alive-
Into the moonlight, fairies dive.
And gnomes upon the star dust thrive-
They do not strive, they do not strive.

The unicorn, a noble steed
In to this fray steps carefully.
Then snorts and gaily stomps his feet-
The time so fleet, the time so fleet.

Sweet magic fills the nighttime air
As childish dreams reach heaven's stairs.
A falling star sparks like a flare-
One wish to share, one wish to share.

And so the moon rules o'er the night
Keeping his lovelies safe from fright.
He sends kisses in beams of light-
Enchanting sight, enchanting sight.
