My Guardian, My Angel
I never would have made it without you,
My guardian, my angel by my side,
When all was lost you turned grey sky to blue,
In prayer, to you, the one whom I confide,
I know you've been with me through all my days,
You caught me when I stumbled on life's path,
You gently showed the error of my ways,
Compassionate, devoid of angst or wrath,
On darkest roads you shone a light for me,
And led me safely to my home once more,
I begged you show your face, that I may see,
My wish fulfilled on summers golden shore.
In awe, I held your vision deep within,
And wondered where, did you and I begin.
