As a Child of God

I John 5:1-5

Whoever has faith in Jesus as the Christ,
Truly has been blessed as a child of God;
He loved us to let His Son be sacrificed,
So show Him respect with honor and laud.

As a child of God give Him all your love,
Just as the Father has love for His child;
The rewards come as blessings from above,
It pleases Him seeing that you have smiled.

As a child of God you must keep His laws,
You show Him your love in how you abide;
He will not hold against you all your flaws,
Cleansing defects that are hiding inside.

As a child of God you trust in His Word,
Reading the Scriptures every single day;
You feel the joy every time they are heard,
That inspires you enough never to stray.

As a child of God your faith has a might,
That is able to defeat evil of this earth;
For your faith has been given some insight,
To Jesus as the Son of God in your rebirth.
