I'm Really Confused
I'm really confused
I cried the other night,
I'm angry with my mother
She never makes anything right.
I haven't seen her
For a year, today,
I don't know whether to miss her or hate her
She fills me with such dismay.
I shouldn't shed a tear
But I can't help myself,
I am getting so sick and tired
Of leaving my feelings dusty on a shelf.
She once told me
Just a few years ago,
I found it rather ignorant
I felt my temper grow.
She told me once
"I have my life, you have yours,"
The next time she comes around
Maybe, in her face, I'll slam the door.
I can't keep these feelings
Bottled up inside, any longer,
But, I can't help, but, feel the way I do
I wish my broken heart, was stronger.
