Suicidal Mind
Have you ever tried to understand
And not just judge
Try listening to that person
All they want is love
Have you sat down and talked
To those who try to commit suicide
Those who's only desire
Is to someday end their life
In their mind their thinking
" Why do you care?
You wouldn't know anything
Because you were never there!"
Have you ever looked them in the eyes
Try to understand their pain
Did you really try your best
TO get them to explain
Have they ever given up on you
When you just wanted to help
You wanted to just try to understand
For them to tell you how they felt
Did you get the bad news
That phone call that changes your day
The person on the other line tells you
Your friend has passed away
Let me give you some tips
On how suicidal people feel
Why you can't just ignore them
You have to realize it's real
Some people feel alone
They feel so empty inside
They feel nothing but pain
They always seem to cry
They really want to talk to someone
But there is no trust
They've been hurt so bad before
That they don't accept any kind of love
Maybe they were hurt in the past
But no one was willing to talk
Maybe they were blamed
For something that was not their fault
No one will listen
They would just point and stare
Family and friends turned their backs
They felt like no one cared
Maybe it was a teenager who did drugs
who was too addicted to put it to an end
They wanted to find help
But had no real true friends
In those moments of silence
Look into their eyes
Their screaming for help
You have to realize
All they want is someone to listen
To just give them time
Someone to sit down and hear
What's going through their mind
You can't just give up on them
You can't just turn away
You have to keep trying
Or you'll get that call one day
