Dreams ...Dreams, what are they? Do we really know? How do we perceive them, where do they go? We all have dreams, and we want them to come true, Nice thoughts in our head, for me and for you. Dreams are made of candy, only twice as nice, A thought in the head, and then gone in a thrice! They melt away - on the sands of time Thoughts of yours - Thoughts of mine! We go through life; thinking nice things will occur, Then things go wrong, and that's so unfair. But no-one told us life was fair - or did they? Things happen and we get hurt, it's very sad to say. But life is what we make it; I believe this to be true! So we make it good, as only we ourselves can do! No matter the past, or the future, no matter the sad, No matter the good, and no matter the bad Because; Everything happens to us all for a reason this is true, Dreams for me - and dreams for you So hold onto that dream, that dream sublime, And maybe it will come to pass; one day in time. But if they don't, then don't despair and be sad, For every things for a reason, the good and the bad! We don't have anything; if we don't have our dreams, No happiness at all, just sadness it seems. So no matter what, never lose sight of that dream, Just keep on dreaming - and you'll see what I mean! I dreamt a dream upon a moon ago, oh yes, a wonderful dream; Then turned to a nightmare; that nightmare made me scream! The dream was never meant to be, but I won't lose sight of it ever! For that dream was a wonderful dream, and I won't let it go; never! For the dreams we have are of the making, this is so very true, If you hold onto that dream; be sure, it'll come to pass for you! If that dream turns out to be wrong, never lose heart cos you see, Dreams can be rekindled; they can, if you really want them to be. So no matter the dream you may have, hold on to it really tight! And if they come to pass, keep them there with all your might. For as long as we hold that dream - in our heart so true, It will never die, for me, for everyone, or for you. I dreamt a dream; once upon a moon ago But the nightmare came, and I had to let it go. But I guess if I'm honest, it was never meant to be; And the hardest thing is; it almost killed the heart of me! But I will never lose sight of my dream, nor should you! We just hold it in our hearts, our hearts so true. *** Keep dreaming that dream *** ***And see it come to pass *** Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
