We As People…We as people are not infallible! More, we are full of flaws, oh yes that's true! No-one and nothing is perfect, We are all the same but different; me and you! We as people are sometimes intimidated, But is there a reason they get away with this? Is there a reason we allow them to do this to us? Well let me tell you, yes there is! You see, as we go through life, We stumble and falter many a time, For we are as humans, not made of steel, And sometimes in life, we're not fine. And when we are under par as we are; Some people see the ‘weaknesses' in us true, Decide to use and abuse that fact, And play on that, oh but they do! But the worm will always turn you know! And when the fight in us returns once more! We stand and face the dragons head on! And make them realise the score! The score being; we get our strength back! And are able to fight the good fight! Stand our ground, don't back down! And take them to task with all our might! Those who are bullies and are obnoxious; Are cowards hiding behind a mask! But when we stand before them in retaliation, Their cowardice shows at last! They can dish it out, but can't take it back! And then they are on the run! And that's the time to turn it around! For the weakness within us is done! If we allow fear to get the better of us, Then that can destroy our life, Confidence gone, self esteem on the floor, And people's words cut like a knife! But you are better than that Sue! And better than them by far! So make that promise; ‘to yourself to be true,' And be proud of who you are! And it's allowed! You will deal with it; For there are no hard and fast rules to life! But deal with it you will, read my words and believe; You will lose the fear and strife! Horrible people affect our future, But you have to let go that pain and your past! Stand up tall and believe in yourself! And you will be through that door, at last! You are what you are and will get stronger, You will no longer be the timid; she! Because the ‘she' of the past will be replaced, And then, at last you'll be free! And when that day arrives, See just who and what you are! And when you look back you will see; It was simply because; you were under par! And it's ok to cry, and ok to be scared; And ok to feel sad and blue! We as people are not infallible, And this, I know you know, is true! So cry when you need to cry, Because every teardrop will ease a pain, It's not weak to shed those tears, more, It helps to make us strong again! I have two good ears, strong shoulders, And such strength within me true, If you ever need those things from me, Then they are there already; for you! So; If you need a pillar lean on me!
