Dark and dreary comes the night,
foreboding looms in the heart,
and creatures scurry quickly away,
a howl a screech a scream echo cross the still land,
such are the sounds of the night,
where the wind screams through the trees seeking its escape,
distant thunder rolls and lightning flashes over the land,
as powerful storms the night brings upon the weary land.
One of my early works,written in the spring of 2000 on a stromy night.
