The Truth
I promise to tell the truth, the whole truth,
And nothing but the truth
Do you know how much it hurt me
When you walked out of the room not guilty
Why couldn't you just tell the truth and earn your time
It's what you'd deserve for your crime
Now my family is torn apart
Because of your mistake and it hurts my heart
Knowing I can no longer be with the family
I love so dearly
Now I go to my room every night and cry
Because you ruined my life
Sometimes I'd even wish you'd die
I told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth
You're the one who lied and made my life hell
You deserve to serve your time in jail
