When I feel the steely grip of pain upon my heart,
and my soul is ravaged by loss and concern,
I turn to You.
When my hazel eyes are full of tears,
and my feelings I cannot control,
I turn to You.
When my soul aches and the chill of heartache is upon me,
and I don't know what to do,
I turn to You.
When all is well with my soul and my heart is full of joy,
and I need someone to share my ecstacy,
I turn to You.
When my mind is at ease,
and I feel the sweetness of peace wash over me,
I turn to You.
And when my days come to their end,
and I have time for one last prayer,
then too shall I turn to You.
