Old Ragged Teddy
There's an old ragged teddy
I used to hold tight,
He sits in the corner
In the darkness of night.
I don't play with my teddy anymore
I have outgrown him,
But he looks at me with sad eyes
His future grows weary and dim.
I have a new toy
Mommy bought it just today,
I take it everywhere I go
With this new toy, I love to play.
The old ragged teddy
Sits in a cardboard box,
Ready to be given away to someone else
It just sits there and gawks.
