 Penniluck's legacy

My Sunshine

Sometimes when I`m lonely
And life seems grey and cold.
I think of you my daughter
And memories of old.
The sun comes streaming in then
It`s light a golden haze
Of love, as I remember you
In better halycon days.
I still can`t give you money
`Nor gifts to show I care
But no other daughter
Could own a love so rare.
There is a part deep in my soul
Wherein you always dwell
Where light blots out the darkness
And Heaven replaces Hell.
So darling what I give to you
On this your special day
Is a prayer for only sunshine
To light you on your way.
A happy birthday daughter
May your cup overflow.
And may Our God go with you
Wherever you may go.
