Kodak Moment
Look closely at that smile
the lines of so many years
wrapped tightly in a moment
Look at that background
study all it has to offer
it was a time that I cherished
it was that summer in Laguna
when we had the world propped on our shoulders
I see your face and a tear forms
it was the last of an era
after that summer everything changed
a new unfamiliar chapter was born
I see your eyes flicker back at me
even as I lay in this bed so still
I remember your laughter
it was the sound I will never forget
my finger now rests recalling all that is gone
I do hope somewhere that you have this picture
I know I gave you a copy
but maybe you have lost it
I know it's faded but it's still my treasure
