Faith of a ChildA child's faith moves mountains and parts the seas, Making us wish to view all things through their eyes. Humbling us to go down upon our knees. In the faith of a child, sweet magic lies. For in seeing such faith, our hearts fill with joy- Renewing the spirit of hope ‘ere it dies. Such endearing virtue of her girl and boy Is the antidote for a mother's despair. The strength we hold within; God's gift to employ. So we must be vigilant and give much care To these treasures entrusted to us by God- And to the snatchers of innocence-Beware! For if living in faith brings us closer to God Then on these beautiful souls we dare not trod. Copyright © by Michelle 9/10/05 Style: Terza Rima Sonnet Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
