Proverbs 9:7-12
Whoever teaches another with pride,
The person is actually full of shame;
Their heart is corrupted deep inside,
They only look for fortune and fame.
If you have any sharp words for him,
He will be merely seeking to retaliate;
Causing you grief as life looks grim,
That might be a result of your ill fate.
A man of pride will hate and despise,
To anyone that may get in their way;
Not seeing clearly as one who is wise,
Since they never see the light of day.
But if it is the wise that is being taught,
The training will increase their wisdom;
As with a righteous man that besought,
A knowledge of the Heavenly Kingdom.
For the fear of the Lord gives one desire,
Of knowledge in filling a righteous mind;
That is fueling longer your lifetime fire,
As your role in life more clearly defined.
