Ho Down
All the animals
Are dancin' in the barn,
I'm trying to get my work done
All I can say is, "Darn!"
Got the music turned up
They are being fairly loud,
There is always
Some in the dang crowd.
The horses are doin' a do-si-do
Cows are playing the banjos,
Pigs are playing the washboard
And the chickens are runnin' to and fro.
What am I gonna do
With those darn animals,
Maybe kick 'em in the behind
Tie 'em up with shackles.
I can't seem to get any rest now
Since I bought them that stereo,
They have got me runnin'
Around in circles like a yo-yo.
I try to quiet them down
It only works for a while,
Once my back is turned
They seem to give me a new hair style.
I can't win with those animals around
Kickin' up hay, from all that dancin',
Yeah, they think they're havin' fun
But my patience, they are chancing.
They act like a bunch a hillbillies
With that loud, annoying music,
I am really gettin' tired
Of putting up with their antics.
Maybe I should stop complaining
And join in on the fun,
Well, at least this way
I'll surely get SOMETHING done.
