The elegant flourish,
Performance so fine,
The poet of Paris
Pulls words from his mind!
He strokes them so gently
With feather soft pen
And plays and arranges
Again and again!
Sometimes when out walking
With pen in his hand,
He feels new words rushing
And taking command!
Dear poet of Paris,
Your heart beats in song,
With words dripping honey,
So lusciously long!
The rainbow salutes you
With multicoloured smile,
Through tiny diamond raindrops,
In true timeless style!

L'élégance florissante,
L'expression excellente,
Le Poète de Paris
Tire des mots envoûtants
De son esprit.
Il les caresse
Avec sa plume délicieuse
Et joue avec eux, les ordonne
De mille manières différentes.
Parfois, en se promenant,
Le stylo à la main,
Il entend de nouveaux mots
Se précipiter dans son ouïe
Et lui dicter un poème.
Ô cher Poète de Paris,
Votre cœur bat dans vos chants !
Des mots de miel
Tombent longtemps de votre sang,
Des mots pleins de sève douce !
L'arc-en ciel,
Avec son sourire multicolore,
Vous salue
Et vous couvre
D'innombrables gouttelettes
De diamant.
Et elle vous fais grâce
De votre intemporelle poésie !
