I Get So Angry At Him, I do!I get so angry at Him, I do! And shout and rant at God, But He always, always forgives me, Even though He's a busy bod! But last night, wow I told Him off! And ripped him to shreds, too right! Cos I was angry and annoyed! Over the things He's given me to fight! I said to Him; ‘God, why all this mess? And why all the heartache and pain! Am I that bad, do I deserve it? The things you throw at me again and again! Well I jest you not, I'm as mad as hell with you! Because you leave me floundering once again! So will you please cut me some slack! And help me with this awful pain!!!' Well after I finished my ‘prayers!' I heard a whisper in my ear… Of course it was Him up above, He was there, and He did hear! ‘Now Catherine my child, look here!! And listen to what I tell you! For I am not punishing or judging! And this is not just all about you! It's about helping others, In their sorrowful plight! You walk the walk of many, my child. Because I have given you much insight!' ‘But God,' I said, ‘what can ‘I' do? To help and support and comfort me, Someone to hug me tight… So that pain is not the only thing I see! For I am so very weary just now, As you yourself very well know! All I want from you is a little ease, And for some of my pain and torment to go! Is that so much to ask for? Am I that bad I deserve this pain? For as you know, I once asked you for help, Then you increased my problems once again!' ‘My child, my child…' My God did say, ‘This is the way it has to be… For I need a little help in this… And you are the one I chose, you see!' So I had a ponder on that one, And then I asked him a question again, ‘Can't you give me a little ease? And lighten up this pain!' I heard a sigh within my God, And this He did say to me… ‘Catherine, don't you worry or fret, For you are in the heart of Me! And though you get sad and flounder, You always come shining through! Now why do you think that is? It's because I am always with you!' So I thought about that, I did, And I agreed with God above, For not only is He with me… But He gave me a heart full of love! So I guess, if I'm really honest, I have to sat He's a very wise God, For once again I told him off, Even though He's a busy bod! ‘Now I never promise I won't ask again,' I said, ‘And nor will I say I wont get angry and mad at you! Cos I can't cos I won't promise anything, That I may not be able to do!' So once again, I said; ‘Amen', And settled down for sleep… And because I was so wound up, I had to count flippin' sheep!!!
