M's Poetry

Reunion

Six feet under melting pot
of the world below that holds
skulls and bones
once neatly tucked away in tailor suits
and nice dresses
is the headstone that reads
from this year to the last
can't buy no extra time
plot decorated with the green grass
in this calm lies your resignation

I have seen my share of the world's wonders
now I lie in this slumber
it's more than sleep it's total stillness
last rights have come and went
now all that is left is my dust
put me under the big oak tree
right next to mommy and daddy
there shall it remain ever our sanctuary
in the breeze that will follow
the spirits will hover
to gather me up look down where
I once did lay....

so quickly the years evaporated
now I see below there are also burying you here
how I am so happy you are finally joining me
it's been years but the reunion now
is just like death, guarnteed......
