A Debt to Pay

Philippians 2:1-5

If there is any comfort in Christ,
If there is any help given by love;
From the One who was sacrificed,
By the Father who is from above.

If any uniting of hearts in the Spirit,
If there is any pity or loving mercy;
Time will show what you inherit,
When no longer blind and can see.

Fill your joy while in the same mind,
Of the same love while in harmony;
A new realm of living you will find,
As peace awaits you at your destiny.

Do nothing through envy or pride,
It causes rudeness and being vain;
For increasing greed and lust inside,
That only results in grief and pain.

But of oneself to have low esteem,
By thinking of others as being better;
And remember that you will redeem,
To Jesus Christ for being His debtor.
