Reflection

I can dance a tango
Serve a tennis ace
So why in my mirror
Do I see this old man's face

My eyes are still a twinkle
Their gaze is honest and true
And they still retain their shade
Of rather a nice blue

Age is for the aged
Surely not for me
Good lord its only yesterday
That I was twenty three

I am getting old
I've accepted that is true
I tried making love
Just like I used to do

The intention was there
The stamina weak
Regret I'm not your man
If a stallion you seek

But the fire is still burning
Or maybe just an ember
And heck I been and done it once
As more than me remember

I looked again in the mirror
I don't feel quite so sad
That face looking back
Is so much like my dad
