Till The Storm Passes~~~~Katrina and Rita
A "Warm-N-Cozy" Greeting
Till the storm passes~~~~
Heavenly Father, we hear about the storm,
The worst in recorded history, since the world was born.
The words I find are of little use, they die upon my lips.
With what You are trying to tell us, we must come to grips.
We took a step, (a small one perhaps), it seemed so right to do,
And then we took another step, closely follow by quite a few.
Until we find we turned away from all You Lovingly Taught.
Our prayers seem to ring so empty now, like all has gone for naught.
With contrite hearts, and true remorse, we cry out unto thee,
Mend all our faults; heal our land, our captive souls, set free.
There's no excuse that will suffice, we are just poor sinners, Lord.
Who lie and cheat and covet what we can no longer afford.
You know the depths of suffering; You have felt our every pain.
You hung, forlorn, upon that tree, our souls Your only gain.
If it be Your Will, we will face this raging flood.
But, wash us first, Lord, in Jesus'Holy, Precious Blood.
