Destinies Playground
Once I had a fantasy
A love of which I dreamed
A product of hope
A destiny deemed
Quietly I would fantasize
About the texture of your hair
The way you carried yourself
With attitude and flair
Sitting alone for hours
Imagining how it would be
Two hearts so in love
You and me
Wasting away the hours
In fertile fields of my mind
Your heart and mine
Nurturing the love we find
The years kept passing
And while life was good
I never gave up on you
Oh no, I never could
And while reality seemed
To be my final destiny
In the depths of my heart
Your vision still could I see
We continued to love
In the dreams of my heart
I would wait forever
And never depart
One day I met you
On a cool October eve
As your eyes searched mine
I began to believe
Standing before me
The one I waited for so long
Seeing recognition in her eyes
My heart burst into song
Dreams once our playground
To pursue destiny so fleet
Until the time would come
Love and destiny were to meet
Now I use our playground
The one so well we know
To dream about the tomorrows
Of a love destined long ago
