Waiting For You
It doesn't matter how long it takes
how the hours do fade
I know the picture isn't complete
and in my heart I shall weave some patience
cuz there is no other that makes me feel
the way you do when you smile at me
so gladly I will wait for you
People will come and go
pleasantries I will fill
but no one resides in my heart wall
quite like you
I may travel the world
and be tempted to settle
but I know without moving
I could find no one better
no one can ever hold me the way that you do
so I count these memories as I wait for you
In this home when I am alone
quiet moments release my true feelings
so as I take this pen and paper
it becomes my own private love letter
your name at the top
with different verses of all these emotions
my endless sea of inspiration
the drive of my focus
cuz no one kisses me the way you do
so as the clock turns I sit here waiting for you
