WAITING FOR ONE THAT ONCE WAS

* * * *Our Paths Will Meet Again* * * *

My wonders of wonders have always longed,
For that special someone to call my very own.
I have yet to wait till the skies are no longer,
For that special one who's still out there yonder.

If it takes forever I will reserve my youth,
For a thousand seasons I will wait for you,
While I yearn and yearn and long for you,
You will come to me and this time be true.

I know my youth isn't what it used to be,
But enormous feelings I still hold are meant to be,
For I still am that  lady whom you once held dear,
And admiration I have gathered is still right here.

You always spoiled me in your own special way,
And only wanted the very best to come my way.
No harm you ever wanted to take impact on me,
I am confident you still feel that way for me.

You went so far away so long ago,
That my dreams of you have deepened so,
"Those Where The Days My Friend" I know,
We will sing and dance to again some day..

I plead our paths will meet again soon,
With your sweet smile and arms around me anew,
Holding on this time and never letting go,
Along with the strength you revealed in me so.
