By the Grace of God

Titus 3:1-5

Make it clear to everyone you meet,
That they are under the powers to be.
And abiding by as to the ruling elite,
With doing the work that they decree.

Say no evil of any man and not fight,
Yielding to others in a gentle behavior;
For through Christ you are in the light,
Trusting in Him for being your Savior.

Our past was foolish in hardened heart,
Turned away from the righteous truth;
Servants to lust and evil from the start,
Seeking earthly pleasures in our youth.

But as the love of our Savior was seen,
I could see a mortal error of my ways;
In being such a moron that I had been,
Just wasting my life back in those days.

Not by righteousness but by His mercy,
He gave us a new salvation to inherit;
With washing us through a new infancy,
Giving of a new life in the Holy Spirit.
