MY THREE SONS
I have three sons
Each one a jewel
I teach them to live
By the Golden Rule
The oldest one
Is almost a man
Testing his mettle
Whenever he can
The middle child
Is honest and good
But loves a good prank
Like every boy should
The smallest boy
A lion is he
I've learned when it's best
To just let him be
If I can say
When they're grown and gone
I've taught them well
How to carry on
Then to them all
Will I have been true
The job God gave me
Will ALMOST be through
