 Hurricane Rita
She lingers off the shore
Letting civilians know she's there,
Packs a powerful punch
People reliving a nightmare.

She threatens the rest of nature
Human lives are at stake,
A category four hurricane
What kind of destruction will she make.

Fleeing civilians leave their home
Trying to get to higher ground,
Leave their lives behind them
Some places look like a ghost town.
