 Colorado Rockies
Hiking in the mountains high
Underneath an azure sky.
Longing in my heart to fly.
Deep clean breaths of smog free air.
Footprints of a great black bear.
Thrilling-yet; is still a scare.
Cool wind blowing through the trees-
Insects sailing on the breeze.
Changing color of the leaves.
Aspens in their full array-
Golden as the break of day.
A soul set free in child's play.
Early morning mountain dew.
Columbine of bluish hue-
Rising sun: A splendid view!
Rumbling, gurgling waterfalls
Down the mountains send their call-
As we stop and stare in awe.
Mother doe and baby fawn
Dash across the mountain lawn-
Basking in the early dawn.
Lord, if this Your will, I pray;
Such is where I'll end my days-
Praising you, my God-Always.
