The Prophet ComesMatthew 11:7-15 What did you go out in the woods to see? A very tall tree to be shaken by the wind: Then exactly what could the reason be? Maybe an elegant man that had sinned. So why then were you needing to go out? To see a prophet for what the future holds; But it is more than a prophet to be about, And more than just what Christ upholds. Rather it is on a messenger that you face, To whom you shall prepare to make way; Being sent by God along with His grace, But uncertain of the time or even the day. From the days of John the Baptist till now, The Kingdom of Heaven has seen rage; As men attempt to overtake it somehow, Just like some trapped lions within a cage. As the laws were being enforced until John, And if you are willing and able do not fear; For it will be Elijah, who is to come upon, So whoever has ears heed and let him hear.
