Why Christ?I John 2:1-6 I write this poem for you to not sin, And are able to be cleansed within; For you to understand Jesus Christ, And exactly why He was sacrificed. Whoever is a sinner we have a friend, Who is our helper that will never end; He is our passageway onto the Father, Also to be considered as your brother. He is the offering for sin of the world, As the Father in His plan had unfurled; By this we may be certain that we know, In cleansing of sins from the blood flow. But it is more than erasing our flaws, For we also need to abide in His laws; So if anyone who does not understand, Is a liar about knowing His command. All who keeps His Word from above, Shall be made complete in His love; We are certain in our hearts to abide, Of the throne for Christ is deep inside.
