VANCROSS

Vancross
Are you in the cold
At a loss
Am I too old

Am I too far away
For us to be
Can we play
With the words we key

Do I turn you on
With my poetry
Or are my words too gone
For us to ever be

More than friends
Across the miles
Where it ends
Instead of trials

The situations in my life
Are they too much for you to read
Would you take me as a wife
Or even understand this need

I have to care for another
With arms that are strong and hot
Or does this poem smother
You with what you're not

Going to be
The owner of a woman-child
Where loving me
Could be warm or wild

It all depends
On what it takes
As to where a man begins
When a woman aches

Then writes about it to all
In her poetry
Can you see how I fall
In love so easily?
