Reflections of My Perceptions
my wish
Scenes repeated I want to see them deleted
I would die to see the day when war is defeated
and weapons of any kind are no longer needed
I want untimely death to be cheated
let hunger be unable to feed
I hope for a day when poverty bleeds
and peace rains in the streets
washing away red blood, yellow tape, white chalk, white sheets
but ignorance must be brought to its knees
and the seeds of education must be allowed to breed
maybe then respect will breathe
but only if we allow pride to eat
but let not pride wax obese
instead let confidence be released
and I promise then accomplishment will streak
still, perserverance ye must seek
however without unity we will never peak
so love must be allowed to speak
and then hate and greed must be berated until they're weak
After which I can almost guarantee violence will weep
and run away and hide as kindness sweeps
but none of this can occur as long as intelligence sleeps
so I need yo'll to wake up for this to be a relevent speech
