"emerging angel"
the ecstasy of a new life begins upon conception
life being short, is precious, fragile and dear
the reason to live it with a fervor and passion
our baby's first words tell us that loud and clear
life is full of questions, answers and mysteries
every living thing has a start, its own innocent inception
following a path with God's guidance and love
into the hearts we touch without deception
lives change without warning, the pulse of a heartbeat
dreams, goals, ambitions, all that we teach
at first glance they are gone, yet not lost forever
always held within mind and heart's reach
life's lessons are hard to learn
with time these wisdoms soothe our pains
when deeply felt within our soul
the memories unconsciously become our gains
the loss of a loved one doesn't end with death
cherishing the moments of the past, a model of roles
initiates the life of our own emerging angel
as we remember the future, while it unfolds
thru the eyes of our angel, we see our own fate
providing insight, leading us with a loving wing
with each step forward their presence is felt
to be reunited once again, in a life everlasting
