SHATTERED BUBBLES






SHATTERED BUBBLES

Look at the bubbles floating in the air
See all the different colors
Lights reflecting  hues of all shades

Can you reach out and touch one without it popping
Will it burst when it touches your skin

Once they are shattered
Can you put them back together
All that's left is a drop of moisture where it had been

You took my heart full of life
with all  the colors of the love

You handled it with careless hands
causing it to shatter like the floating bubbles

I trusted you to keep it safe
now all is left is where my heart landed in rubble

It's your loss too - I am the best that is around
I will survive -  but you will be in the ground
